Owners, Staff & Dog Trainers at K9 University Chicago

At K9 University, our staff and trainers are here to provide a safe, fun and energetic environment for your dog. Our staff and owners have decades of experience in professionally training and caring for dogs. The daycare staff keep close supervision over play sessions outdoors and inside. Our overnight team takes careful care of all of our boarding students, including making certain that proper feeding, medications and other special services are carefully provided.

K9 University is owned and operated by Alan Rapata and Ruby Madrigal. Joan Harris is our Director of Obedience Training. Between them they have over 37 years of experience training and caring for dogs. Alan's experience as a behavorist and Ruby's dedication to comfortable and stimulating daycare and boarding combine to make K9 University the Chicago area's premiere facility for dog services and care.
