K9 University Chicago - Puppy Obedience Training Classes

Good behavior starts early! Get your puppy off to the right start during that initial "imprint" period. Starting early is very important for the future obedience of your dog. Puppy obedience training classes are designed to help you through those first wonderful and sometimes challenging months. We begin each session wtih a group play period, to help socialize your dog - a necessity for every well behaved Chicago dog. Our expert instructor will guide you through housebreaking and will show you how to forge the proper bond with your new pup, enabling the development of a sense of discipline that is so important for a positive relationship.

Foundation obedience is introduced using only positive reinforcement methods. We use distraction training methods, which we feel is the best way to help your dog learn how to pay attention to you. In the busy urban environment of Chicago, it is so important to be able to get and hold your puppy's attention. This class is open to puppies under five months of age.

This year our puppy classess are on Wednesdays, starting on July 30th, 2008. Please call for availability - this is a very popular class and will fill quickly.

Time: 7:00 – 8:00 PM

Number of weeks: 6 weeks
Puppy training is ongoing and flexible so you are are welcome to take an extra week or so to get it right.

New Saturday Puppy Training Classes!

Puppy classes are now being presented at the P.A.W.S. Adoption Center! Join us along with your pup for our Puppy Class and spend some time with us at the great P.A.W.S. facility. It's on Saturday too!
